Why does e Trust PestPatrol complain about some users not having sufficient privileges to run e Trust PestPatrol?

In order to use all of the functionality of e Trust PestPatrol you need permissions to be able to:

  • Write to the HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT hierarchy in the registry
  • Create or write to a file in {installation directory} \Program Files\CA\eTrust PestPatrol
  • Create or write to a file in c:\Documents and Settings\All Users

Is there any way to be able to see more of the information in the scanner status area .

The Scan for Pests  window can be resized by hovering the mouse over the outer border of the window until you see the 1  and then left-click-dragging the edge to the size you would like. This will make it easier to view the log entries.

My scheduled scans are not executing.

  • Make sure the Task Scheduler is running. 
  • Scheduled Scans will not run if the Scan Now, Manage Quarantine or Manage
    Exclusions window is open.

When I select "Print the selected heading and all sub-topics", the print out is garbled.

When attempting to print help topics, the Print the selected heading and all subtopics option does not work properly. This is a known Microsoft bug in HtmlHelp. Please choose the Print selected topic option instead.
